At the beginning it was a dream. What would it happen if we were a publishing house? Later the dream came true. To publish our own books was the prime idea for a long time and suddenly the chance was taken. We plunged into the second edition of Recuerdos de mi única casa (Memoirs of my unique house) by Aldo Méndez(Cuban writer, poet and storyteller).
With this book we started to navigate and explore the world of illustrated books. After nine months the second book was born: Ciudad sin Colores (City without colors) by Aldo Méndez; we were very proud of it and learning on the way to be a publishing house.
With the third book we realized we have done it. This time we worked with a different book, a French book. With great commendation by Caroline Mantoy, French storyteller. We were in touch with a french publishing house L'école des loisirs. Cuentos Grandes para Calcetines Pequeños © negotiated the copyrights to publish Bonjour Madame la Mort.
We have been working with the association Veleta Roja (Red weather vane) in setting to music poetry for children. Lyrics by the Poet Aldo Mendez and music by Carlos Cano and Hernán Milla. We must not advance in surprises but we have two books in line.
All the publications, and also other storytellers' work, are available at The Store
